If you have a collision damage coverage provision on your insurance policy, then you will be entitled to have any damage to your car repaired at no cost to you with the exception of your deductible. However, if the cost of repairing the damage to your car is greater than the value of your car, your insurance company is only required to pay you for the value of your car.
